Each contestant must confirm their registration through one of the following methods:
• The preferred method is pre-registering online at https://forms.gle/k5ukmD5ovLRSe4m79 by 12 p.m. February 23. Those pre-registered must still check-in at the registration table upon arrival (alternatively, in person can be done between 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on the day of competition)
• Only the registered contestants will be allowed to participate in the contest;
• Each contestant can only register for one category;
• Contestants will be expected to demonstrate the basic step three times along with three distinct changes;
• A fiddler will be provided and will play the Red River Jig;
• Contestants can use alternative fiddlers if they choose, but they must play three changes of the Red River Jig;
• Contestants’ jigging order will be determined randomly by the registration volunteers ;
• There will be two qualified judges and the judges decisions will be final;
• Any contestant winning the Open category three (3)consecutive times will not be eligible to participate the following year;
• The judges may, at their discretion, request contestants of the Open category to repeat their initial performance in groups of 3 or 4 according to the order assigned to allow judges to better assess their individual performance;
• Participants are not permitted to use taps;
• Free admission for all contestants (and a guardian if under 18 years of age).
